Going Deeper with Three Self-Selected Groups
|

During the course of the weekend, the young adult participants split up into three different self-selected groups that best reflected their current relationship to the church. The three self-named groups represented those who were deeply dedicated to the church (the Ship of Fools Group), those who are somewhat committed to the church (the Middle Group), and those who find the church irrelevant (the Heathens Group). While individuals were being interviewed, the groups were asked to discuss the questions below. At the completion of the weekend they offered the following summation of their discussions and feelings.
