Criminal There are many organizations that serve to address the needs of inmates and those involved in the criminal justice system.  Prison ministry takes a variety of forms.  The Office of Criminal Justice Ministries in the Episcopal Church Center also provides numerous resources in this area. International Network of Prison Ministries An ecumenical organization that attempts to bring under one roof all Prison Ministries involved in crime prevention and in the rehabilitation through the Word of God worldwide. Kairos Prison Ministry International, Inc. A body of ministries addressing the spiritual needs of incarcerated men, women and children, to their families and to those who work in the prison environment. Kairos sprang from the Cursillo movement and is supported by volunteers from Cursillo and those other movements that consider Cursillo as their root. National Prison Hospice Association An ecumenical ministry of hospice care for terminally ill inmates and those facing the prospect of dying in prison, and of supporting corrections officials in their efforts to develop hospice care in other institutions. Prison Fellowship Partners with local churches across the country to minister to a group that society often scorns and neglects: prisoners, ex-prisoners, and their families. The focus of their ministry includes fellowshipping with Jesus, visiting prisoners, and welcoming the children of prisoners.
